Alright, I'd really like to to figure out the name of this movie I saw
back in the early 2000's on TV. It's about an African-American family:
one father, one mother, two young daughters and (possibly) a brother
(Who died somehow, I remember them telling a police officer or
something) So this family moves to New York in an apartment building.
I remember them showing different holidays, like halloween (Where the
two girls would constantly knock on one mans door yelling 'trick or
treat'.) and new year eve at Time Square. I don't remember much else,
I think the family had a neighbour who died and afterwards at the end
of the movie they see his shooting star/spirit.I also may remember
some sort of reference to the movie E.T. Can anyone give me a hand
with this? Is it even a movie?
